A Dinner Inspired by You've Got Mail
The Deli has something deeply nostalgic and perhaps quintessential of the NYC landscape. Even when I lived in NYC I’ll admit, I never found them deeply pulling. But now that I live halfway across the world, in fact not so far from where the original immigrants in NYC brought he deli from, there’s something attractive about the deli concept.
In this scene where Kathleen and Birdie have lunch to discuss the impending mega bookstore moving in, they have a perfect movie moment in a deli. Although this is perhaps more of a lunch menu than a dinner one - I think this could make an equally great dinner.
